This spectacular mirror stand fully demonstrates the more decorative tradition of Ming style furniture. The back simulates a five-panel screen with dragon terminals whose open-work carving are decorated with phoenixes amid clouds. The drawers are embellished with auspicious flowers and the railing posts terminate in dragons and lotus blossoms. The five drawers provide ample storage for hairpins and cosmetics. |
