Materials and Techniques: Book with 118 color lithographs and woodcuts on Van Gelder wove paper watermarked with "Parallèlement"; fine bound in black morocco leather, the cover, title and author on front in relief against sunk gold panels, spine with morocco lettering pieces; the front and back endpapers are red silk, framed in leather that is embossed with 3 inscribed rectangles, front endpaper is stamped in gold: "René Kieffer"; the front and back flyleaves are black paper that has had a silver wash applied; slip case is covered in paper, trimmed in leather and lined with grey cloth.
