Context:

The haloed couple appear to be foreigners, based on the man's 'Phyrgian cap.' He wears a belted tunic decorated with prestigious purple roundels and bands (clavi) similar in color to the fragments shown at the left. The woman appears to be spinning within the elaborate jeweled border.
