Subject Description: The subject of this small relief is clearly a gigantomachy, or battle of gods and giants, a frequent subject in both Greek and Etruscan art. Three headless figures engage in violent combat. At the center is a muscular, winged male whose legs terminate insnake-like coils. Behind him on the left is a large male who wears drapery over his left shoulder but whose chest is exposed. To the right is a striding female figure.
