The Ancient Puebloan civilization, often known as Anasazi, that thrived in the Southwestern United States in the 10th -12th centuries is justifiably known for its striking ceramics. Bold black black and white geometric designs were a hallmark of their style. Many of the finest ceramics were made for trade to other Native American populations.
