Context:
The inside cover of this Bible is inscribed with the Grosberg family tree beginning in 1756 and ending in 1797, with the birth of Elie Oleson Grosberg, the mother of Ola Torgerson. Torgerson was married to Eli Iverson Lo, the daughter of Sirid Kvalen Lo, for whom the painted chest on display nearby was made. Although the Bible is Danish the Grosberg and Torgerson families were both Norwegian.
