Large conical openwork splint chicken basket with a flap door; thick splint warps crisscross on base, extend up tapering sides and join at pointed top; solid wickerwork over/under wefts on base and twined at top over two/under two; warps widely spaced on sides and stiffened with two wrapped splint hoops; a square opening at base with a woven splint flap attached to the highest reinforcing hoop; splints natural brown bamboo or plum; twisted fiber carrying cord on top.
