|
Context:
|
This helmet appears to belong to a garniture for man and horse of which other elements survive in the Higgins Armory Museum, Worcester, Massachusetts, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The associated visor has been removed to better show the beautifuletched and gilded strapwork decoration.
