Context:
Painted on this vessel is a human figure costumed as a being called the 'Trophy Head Taster,' a supernatural who combines falcon, feline, and human traits. He wears a gold mouth mask and headdress ornament, as well as three gold disks affixed to the tresses on either side of his face. His long tongue extends to taste a feline trophy head. With one hand he grasps a nude prisoner; a human trophy head with the other.
